Beach Media Website Landing Page

Project Context

Beach Media oversees multiple student-run publications and serves as the hub for advertising, sponsorships, and donations that fund campus journalism. However, the existing website lacked clarity for advertisers, contained outdated layouts, and made donations difficult to complete.

My redesign focused on making the site more professional and goal-oriented for external partners while maintaining accessibility for student staff to manage updates internally through the CMS.

Feature Highlights

The redesign focused on simplifying the experience for both advertisers and donors while ensuring the Beach Media team could easily manage updates without technical expertise.

  • Modernized, responsive landing page emphasizing partnership opportunities
  • Streamlined donation workflow integrated with CSULB Foundation systems
  • Updated visual system for consistency across all student media sub-brands

Reflection

Working on the Beach Media website provided valuable insight into aligning business objectives with functional design. Balancing the needs of advertisers, donors, and student users required creating clear, efficient user flows supported by modern, accessible web practices.

The updates not only improved usability but also increased internal efficiency for the Beach Media team, laying a stronger digital foundation for future revenue and partnership growth.
