ENYE Bilingual Magazine Website

A modern bilingual website that highlights culture, community, and student journalism.

Role: Web Designer & Developer

Tools Used: Squarespace, Canva

Goal: Create a bilingual platform that reflects cultural identity.

Date of Work: April 2024

The Challenge

The ENYE magazine, formerly known as the Spanish-only student-run magazine Dig en EspaƱol, had recently transitioned to a bilingual format and needed a visually appealing website that could effectively cater to both Spanish and English-speaking audiences while maintaining a consistent cultural tone.

  • Improve bilingual accessibility
  • Enhance user engagement
  • Implement an intuitive content management system

Outcome

Throughout the design process, I collaborated closely with the Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director, holding several meetings to ensure the website aligned with their vision and editorial needs. Custom CSS and JavaScript were implemented to improve bilingual navigation, refine page layouts, and enhance interactive elements.

  • Bilingual Content: Easy navigation for all users
  • Clean Navigation: Improved readability and flow
  • Community Focus: Reflecting Latinx culture
